Version 0.22 has been released!

Up until now, Re Education has been fairly linear. You pick a major choice near the beginning, and that sets you on one of two very different main paths, with significant choices not coming up until near the end of the path.

Version 0.22 begins to address this. On the path where Mistress Red is let go, Zach will now have the choice to not snoop through her computer. This will lead him to meet Kylie.

Kylie is different from the characters we've seen so far in a number of ways...

Up until now, Re Education has reserved most of the sexual content for the brainwashed path. Version 0.22 begins to address this as well. Meeting Kylie marks the first of the major branches that the non brainwashed path will take.

It has always been the hat's plan to finish two of the base paths first, then start adding major branches. The reason Re Education has had fairly few choices is because most of the choices are going to significantly alter the direction that the story goes. While there is a place for choices that merely change some lines of dialog (indeed there are a few of those in Re Education), the hat is not a fan of these. Those are more the illusion of choice.

The bottom line is the hat wants Re Education to be a visual novel where most of the choices that you make seriously alter how the story goes. Unfortunately this takes time to create.
